Man United keep a close eye on 23-year-old Serie A centre-forward

Man United are ready to reignite their interest in Napoli centre-forward Victor Osimhen. With Ronaldo reaching the latter stage of his career, the Red Devils will have to find a suitable replacement in the near future. Now, Man United will revive their interest in Nigeria international in winter.

The report claims that the Serie A giants value Victor at over £100m, which could be a stumbling block for the Red Devils, especially after so many failed, high-value additions over the years. Osimhen, however, is a proven centre-forward, and at only 23 years old, he still has the vast majority of his career ahead of him.

With 30 goals in 68 matches for Napoli, the Red Devils will be getting a proven goal scorer, but £100m for a player who hasn’t played in the PL always presents a risk. In a perfect world for the Red Devils, the 23-year-old striker will attempt to force a move away from the Italian club, hopefully bringing down his price tag.

However, looking at Man United’s transfer business over the years, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them cough up the asking price for the Nigerian centre-forward next year.

It is thought that Napoli now value the Nigerian at nearly £100m, a figure which could discourage possible suitors such as the Red Devils, who will allegedly hand the Dutch manager £70m to spend on reinforcements in winter.

The African striker is not the only centre-forward to have been linked with a switch to Man United, with one report claiming that the Red Devils are weighing up a winter-window swoop for Benfica star Goncalo Ramos.
