Liverpool are rumoured to be interested in making a move for Shakhtar Donetsk forward Mykhaylo Mudryk. The 21-year-old winger has been the subject of much transfer speculation recently and Liverpool are now amongst the teams said to be keeping a close eye on the situation.
Liverpool’s neighbours Everton were said to be interested in Mudryk in the summer, but the move didn’t come off and now it’s claimed that PL leaders Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s side have joined the battle. Mykhaylo “dreams” of playing in the PL, a dream he could realise with the Reds.
After losing Mane to Bayern Munich in the summer, Ukraine international could be seen at Anfield as a more direct replacement than that Nunez, who is a central striker. Brentford are said to have come closest to signing Mudryk in the summer with Arsenal reportedly pulling out of any potential deal because of the £30m valuation.
The Ukrainian attacker is one of the more exciting prospects in Europe at the moment. His dazzling style of play has not gone unnoticed and he is also lighting up the UCL, having scored twice and assisted as many times in only two games.
It is likely that his value next summer will skyrocket and the best opportunity to grab him for less will be this winter. Moreover, Mykhaylo Mudryk can unlock his true potential under an attacking manager like Jurgen Klopp.
