Chelsea set to break bank for €90m-rated Premier League striker

Chelsea are looking to add Tottenham striker Harry Kane in a sensational swap deal involving Lukaku. Romelu was sent out on loan to Inter Milan during the summer transfer window after a disappointing return to the London club.

It looks unlikely that Belgium international will return to Chelsea and play a crucial role in the side, so a permanent move away is probably for the best for all sides involved. The Blues are going to use the Belgian striker in a swap deal to add England international.

The chances of Spurs allowing Harry to leave Tottenham look slim, but he’s yet to sign a new contract and he may be becoming increasingly frustrated at the lack of trophies won with his boyhood club. If Graham Potter can get a tune out of his Blues squad, they may become a really exciting project.

Using Romelu as a sweetener in the deal could tempt Spurs, particularly with Antonio Conte working with Lukaku before, during his time at Inter Milan. The perfect situation for Tottenham would be for the 29-year-old striker to stay, but if he forces a move then bringing in the Belgian could be a tempting part of the deal.

The English centre-forward is tied down to Tottenham until the summer of 2024 at present, and while negotiations over a new contract have begun, there stays no guarantee over when and if an agreement will be reached.

The Englishman has consistently performed at the highest level since making his Tottenham breakthrough during the 2013-14 season, recording 254 goals in 395 games across all tournaments for the Spurs.
