Chelsea leading race to sign €60m-rated Slovakia international

Milan Skriniar is in the crosshairs of Chelsea, Man United and PSG. All three teams looking to add the 27-year-old centre-back from Inter Milan for a nominal price during the winter transfer window. Skriniar will be out of the deal at the end of the campaign, and the Nerazzurri have not been able to agree on an extension with him yet.

Milan is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in Europe, and he has been a crucial figure for the Nerazzurri over the last few campaigns. It is no surprise that the top European teams are looking to secure his services, especially now that he could be available at a bargain.

The Nerazzurri will not want to lose a footballer like Slovakia international on a free transfer. So they could consider selling him permanently in winter to recoup some money. The Blues signed Koulibaly and Fofana in the summer transfer window. But they could certainly use another defender, especially with Thiago Silva in his twilight years.

The Slovakian would be an exceptional acquisition, with the centre-back at the peak of his powers. Furthermore, the Slovakian defender can play in a back three and will be a perfect fit for Chelsea. Chelsea can offer him UCL football. And that could give them an edge in the transfer chase, especially with Man United who are competing in the UEL.
