Chelsea in pole position to sign €75m-rated Brazilian forward

Chelsea considered signing Neymar in the summer, but they backed out of a deal in the end because of his fitness issues. The in-form PSG winger is now on the London giants’ radar again. Back then, Brazil international was open to moving to Chelsea in the summer.

Neymar’s current form has convinced new owner Todd Boehly that he would be worth the investment. So the Blues could make a move for the 30-year-old attacker at the end of the campaign. The Brazilian winger has 12 goals and nine assists to his name across 16 games.

The South American attacker is being considered an expendable asset by the Parisians, and they are prepared to let him leave at the end of the campaign. The Brazilian is on wages of nearly €40m per season, and the Ligue 1 giants were open to contributing to most of his wages just to get him off their books.

It will be interesting to see if the Blues come forward with a concrete offer for the former Barcelona attacker in the coming months and secure his services. The London giants could certainly use more quality in the attacking unit, and Neymar is a world-class footballer.

Despite the fact that he is 30 years old, Neymar could still play at a high level for the next few years and help Chelsea win major trophies. Neymar has proven himself in France and Spain. And a move to the PL could be an attractive proposition for the Brazilian attacker.
