PSG have joined Chelsea in the battle to add Milan winger Rafael Leao. Portugal international has had an impressive start to the campaign for the Rossoneri in Serie A as well as in Europe. Leao is capable of playing through the middle as a centre-forward but predominantly plays as a forward.
Rafael holds a physical presence but is still capable of taking on defenders with devastating pace. Understandably, The 23-year-old forward is attracting interest from some of the biggest teams in Europe, and PSG are set to join the Blues in the battle to add the attacker.
Ligue 1 giants reportedly consider him having a role in the side with Mbappe or as his replacement if he decides to leave the club in the future. The Portuguese forward’s deal expires in 2024 and there’s no doubt Milan will be looking to tie him down to a new contract.
It’s going to be an interesting race to secure his signature and if he continues his form for the rest of the campaign, there will likely be more teams looking to sign him. The Portuguese wants to put the saga to bed by signing a new deal with his current team.
There are still some steps to take to reach a middle ground, though. First of all, the former Lille forward wants an increase on his salary, somewhat understandably. He currently earns €2m net per season, which equates to less than £35,000 per week.
