Arsenal started talks with 22-year-old Uruguay international

Facundo Torres is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Orlando City forward has emerged as a possible target for the London giants. And the Gunners will meet with the Uruguay international’s representatives to discuss a summer move.

The London giants have set the tone in the PL and will hope to head into the World Cup break at the top of the table. After astute business in the summer transfer window, the Spanish manager has visibly improved his squad. The likes of Jesus and Zinchenko have settled in well and instantly lifted the energy in the squad.

But the Gunners squad is incomplete, and Mikel Arteta is keen to build on current momentum and bring in vital footballers in winter. There is plenty of work for the London club ahead of the next window as they target footballers in crucial positions.

A winger is considered quite important for squad depth. Saka and Martinelli have taken on the attacking burden far too much this campaign. There is a clear need to sign a cover, and a few footballers, like Yeremy Pino, already feature on their shortlist.

Facundo has been a surprise recent inclusion after links emerged with the winger. Torres impressed during Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the United States and even scored a goal against Mikel Arteta’s side. The Uruguayan winger may not be a hugely expensive signing, but still, the Gunners may have to fork out significant sums.
