Arsenal interested in signing 22-year-old Bundesliga striker

Salzburg will demand €35m from suitors for Noah Okafor. Switzerland international is attracting plenty of interest from around the continent. English side Arsenal are among those keen and may look at Okafor as a possible option next summer.

The Gunners are considering several names to bring in during the next phase of their squad building. The Spanish manager recently admitted the club could stay active in winter if they find the right players. Having signed several top-quality stars in the previous two summer windows, Arsenal could embark on another spree in 2023.

From how things are with Mikel Arteta’s squad, there’s a need to bolster crucial positions, including both wings and central midfield, and probably even bring a new centre-forward in. They stay linked with names like Mykhaylo Mudryk and Yeremy Pino, while Noah’s name is mentioned for the centre-forward role.

The 22-year-old centre-forward is a highly-rated Swiss striker plying his trade at RB Leipzig. After steady displays in the last 18 months, the attacker has broken through this campaign properly. The Swiss centre-forward has 9 goals in 20 games across all tournaments, including three in the UCL group stages.

The Spanish coach is eager to bring another option to the team to bring attacking variety. Jesus and Nketiah have similar qualities and may lack the different dimensions the boss seeks. While Arsenal are keen, they might discuss lowering the €35m asking price.
