Arsenal given green light to sign €35m-rated Spanish winger

Arsenal transfer target Marco Asensio threw a strop after Ancelotti once again refused to bring him on in Real Madrid’s most recent match. Marco’s deal at Los Blancos is set to expire at the end of the campaign. Asensio has played 236 games since his arrival back in 2015, scoring 49 goals and providing a further 24 assists in that time.

The 26-year-old forward has been linked with a move away from the Spanish club and the Gunners were interested in the winger during the summer transfer window. Spain international has spent the majority of the campaign sitting on the Los Blancos bench, managing only eight minutes in the league so far.

Understandably, the Spanish forward is growing increasingly frustrated at the lack of playing time, and the forward couldn’t hold back his anger in their most recent match at the weekend. Ancelotti came out and spoke about the incident following the conclusion of the match.

“Asensio’s anger for not playing? I agree with him, so I’ll keep it in mind,” said Ancelotti. Interestingly, Carlo understands the Spaniard’s frustration, so it will be interesting to see whether he is given the playing time he feels he deserves in the near future, or whether we see the likes of Arsenal firm up their interest due to his lack of game time.

The Gunners are ‘ready’ to firm up their interest in Marco Asensio after the Italian manager revealed the Spaniard wishes to leave the Santiago Bernabeu in winter.
